The weather was too nice to stay inside for long though and soon we were taking our learning outdoors. Beth, Ava and Eilidh were cooking up a storm in the mud kitchen, using only the best ingredients of mud, grass and dock leaves! Seb and Charlie were a great help to Mrs Black, cutting back all the weeds from the muddy slope. Louis and Max were using the tools with Mrs Friel and then were finding some weird and wonderful insects that were not made out of play dough. We had a closer look using our bug finder and discovered that they were a shiny black beetle and a funny looking moth.
Everybody was hungry when we came back in and the cereal on offer was quickly munched down - empty bowls all round!
At Reflection Time Miss Smith was most impressed with the children's ability to sound out the syllables in their names. Arthur was presented with the Successful Learner certificate and Freya H was our Confident Individual for the week - well done to both of you. Buddy Bear has headed off home with Ena and we are sure he will have lots to tell us on Monday about all the fun he has had over the weekend.
Good Luck to Max's dad who is participating in the Great Scottish Run on Sunday! We hope you all have a brilliant weekend whatever you are doing and we will see you on Monday for more fun and learning.
