We went out to play in the nursery garden as soon as we arrived today. We had fun playing "Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush" and "Duck, Duck Goose".
Snack was toast and banana, some of the boys and girls were looking for noodles again!
We were very good at identifying the number shells in the soapy water today.
We finished making our handprint dragon with Mrs Black. Look out for it on our nursery wall.
We all love our lovely new bright kitchen and all the new pots and pans. Lots of washing and cooking has went on in Stonelaw Pre School today.
Buddy Bear is going home with Maya this weekend, hope they both have fun.

We had great fun again dressing up and playing in our Chinese restaurant.
We made super pictures of dragon scales using our hand prints and silver and gold paint. We are going to make these into something special tomorrow.
Snack today was served in our Chinese restaurant. Nearly everyone tried yummy noodles and prawn crackers. Some of the boys and girls tried eating their food with chop sticks.
We shared our news with each other in our key worker groups.
We listened to an interesting book called Dat's New Year.
And finally we danced with the dragon that we made earlier in the week. We had great fun dancing with our friends whilst listening to Chinese music.
Today we went out to the garden first where we practised our balancing skills with the steps and the scooters.
When we came back in we were very busy. We made a beautiful Chinese lantern for Chinese New Year.
We enjoyed a snack of grapes, apples and tangerines.
At get together time we listened to James who told us about his power ranger and his "baddie" that he brought in for Show and Tell. Thanks James.
Before it was time to go home we listened to a story called "Topsy and Time Learn to Swim"
Tuesday 28th January
At welcome time this morning the boys and girls talked about what they were going to learn about today. They were all keen to play in our chinese restaurant.
We were very busy making our Chinese dragon.
Some of the children enjoyed playing with the jungle animals in the water. Those elephants sure make big splashes!!!
Snack today was cheese, crackers, tomato and cucumber. Amy, Oliver, Will and Connie helped prepare this. Thank you boys and girls.
Listened to each others news in our keyworker groups.
At gym time we danced with ribbons to chinese music. It's a bit difficult to dance and twirl the ribbons at the same time.
We listened to the story of "Tiberious and the Friendly Dragon". It was all about a scary red creature that lived in a cave very close to the village. The scary creature turned out to be "Drag" a very timid dragon who only wanted to be somebody's friend.

Today we learned about Chinese New Year which starts on Friday 31st January.
We learned that this is the year of the Horse so we made the letter "h" into a picture of a horse and used this to decorate our New Year card.
We had lots of fun playing in water and giving some jungle animals a drink and a bath, without getting ourselves too wet.
We really enjoyed dressing up and playing in our Chinese Restaurant. The noodles and the chop sticks were a big favourite.
At get together time we talked about where China is in the world. We then listened to a story about all the animals in the Chinese Zodiac and played a game where we pretended to be one of the animals.
Today we made cards to celebrate Burn's Day.
We played a fun memory game.
Toast and banana was on the menu for snack today.
We listened to a funny story that used old Scottish words.
We worked on our floor books, talking about the models we had made during the week, using wood.
Most of the boys and girls tried Haggis, Neeps and tatties. They enjoyed it that much they had seconds !
We put our Scottish cd on again and danced with our friends and teachers.
Jayden is taking Buddy Bear home for the weekend.
