Six of the children were picked for a special mission - to go to Rutherglen Library and find The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf. We talked about going left and right on the journey down and the children were super at remembering the route. Speedy Girl (Katie) found Rapunzel's tower and told us the story. Batman (Matthew M) used "Open Sesame" and the doors at the shopping centre opened like magic. On the way back we talked about the schools the children will go to when they leave nursery and Super Girl (Holly) showed us hers. We found a secret door on the school wall and Robbie told us it was a zoo so we had a look for any animals peeking out.
Out in the nursery garden the children were having a great time. Mrs Friel was wood whittling with Adam, and he really enjoyed himself watching the bark coming off the log. Scarlett was playing fantastic music with the chime bars and sang along to the tune. There was water out mixing with the soil so the mud kitchen was very muddy!!!
All the children were ready for their snack, they needed lots of energy after all that exercise. Miss Smith served up the very popular pitta pockets, cherry tomatoes, apples and houmous all washed down with milk or water.
We will see you all tomorrow for more fun and learning.
