Mrs Brown was asking the children about some of their favourite things and then the children drew pictures of them as part of our All about me topic. Felix said his favourite food was "meatballs and pasta", and Eliza said her favourite toy is her "Dora the explorer doll because it sings".
Snack was crackers, kiwi and oranges with a choice of milk or water.
Today we had a special surprise, Eugenie came into nursery to teach the children some French and she brought some friends with her, snails, slugs, beetles and a centipede, some of them managed to escape. We learned that centipede translates into mille-pattes and snail translates into escargot. The children then fed the snails salad which is salade in French. After they had been fed we drew some pictures of our favourite bugs and then we learned a song about the sun which is soleil in French. French will continue for 3 more lessons for any child who wishes to participate.
During freeplay we had zoo duplo, the climbing frame, the wooden doll's house, water tray, shredded cardboard with paint and ribbon to thread and scales with the sorting people.
At physical time we played Big brown bear and then the children brushed their teeth and put on their own jackets and shoes.
