Mrs Brown was doing science experiments to help the children learn about freezing. They had different size bowls to see which would freeze the fastest. The water was mixed with paint to provide some colour. The children then checked every hour to see how they were freezing.
Today we had the balance beam out and for physical play we were doing circle games. Instead of Duck Duck Goose it was Water, Water, Ice and then Ice, Ice, Water to help consolidate our science learning.
Our story was a factual book on bears as we have been learning about polar bears in relation to igloos and ice. Hugh stated that igloos protect people from polar bears as polar bears can't fit inside the igloo.
Snack was strawberries, breadsticks and with a choice of milk or water.
Some of the girls and boys were looking through and choosing pictures for their journey books with Mrs Blain.
Messy play was the water trough. At goodbye time we played an ice statue game.
