Happy Halloween everyone! Our party this morning was a great success. The costumes were amazing, we had fairies, vampires, witches, power rangers, skeletons, a mermaid and lots lots more. We danced to lots of creepy music and played lots of games.
The boys and girls loved dooking for apples. I think we cheated a little though, we dropped forks into the water !
There's some terrific pictures of today just been added to our photo gallery, so don't forget to take a look!
Today we sang our "good sitting" song and talked about what we had for breakfast. Ava was very excited telling us about her Aunt Nicola's wedding. Ava and her little sister Olivia were both flower girls and Ava's mum was a bridesmaid. They did lots of dancing and played in the soft play with cousin Amy and her friend Sophie. Sounds like a great day!
We had great fun making some Halloween masks - spooky! And we had grapes, orange and rice cakes for snack.
We sang some spooky songs about Halloween and then coloured in some autumn leaves window decorations. We are really enjoying the run up to halloween so we read "Winnie the Witch"!
Today we listened to Isla telling us what she and Buddy Bear got up to at the weekend. Buddy Bear had a great time!
With Halloween approaching some of us made pumpkins with Mrs Rowney and there were Halloween puzzles and games for us to play with this morning.
Snack was crackers, cheese and apple.
We had a fire drill this morning which we all paid close attention to. A few of us played "snap" and then we listened to a story called "Funny Bones".
Remember our Halloween Party will start at 10.15am on Thursday!
Today we sang our "good sitting" and "day of the week" songs. We heard news from all the boys and girls who told us about their favourite painting from yesterday's art exhibition.
We made beautiful stained glass autumn leaf pictures to hang on our windows at home.
Our story today was called "Ridiculous" by Michael Coleman about an tortoise who decides to abandon hibernation to venture out into the cold. How ridiculous!
We played with our Toolo and sang some autumn songs. And this weekend Buddy Bear is away home with Isla.
We enjoyed toast and banana for our snack.
A great big thank you to all our mums, dads, grans, grandads and carers for all their support at our art exhibition yesterday.
Today we showed our mums, dads, grannies and grandpas the art work we have been doing as part of our painting topic by having an art exhibition. It was fantastic to see all our hard work on display and to see how much everyone enjoyed viewing it. We did paintings in a number of different styles:-
Not only did everyone get a chance to view and buy our paintings but they also got a chance to do some painting too. Great fun!
Thanks to everyone who bought a painting today - we have raised £170.00 so far for the nursery which is brilliant!
Please have a look through the picture gallery below to see some examples of the paintings on display today- aren't they great!
