We still had topic work going on though and the children were looking at the shepherds from our nativity play today. Craig, Jasmine and Olivia were very good at counting out the five woolly sheep and making a brilliant picture with them. Cody didn't think it would be very good to be shepherd because you would have to stay awake all night and that wouldn't be much fun.
Snack today was tasty pitta bread with apples, houmous and cherry tomatoes washed down with milk or water and, after the dancing the children were doing with Mrs Brown, they needed a filling treat.
Mrs Black read the children a very funny story all about Hamish the Highland Cow. He didn't want his hair cut and liked eating toffees all day, I think the children quite liked him and they didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with him keeping toffees in his coat - yuck! Then we had lots of fun singing Happy Birthday to Miss Smith who has just turned 21 again today.
After that we all tried some shortbread and a tiny tiny bit of Iron Bru (honestly mums and dads) and that gave us lots of energy again for our final fabulous ceilidh dancing.
Just a wee reminder that all storysacks should be returned tomorrow and we look forward to seeing you all then.
