Today the children performed their Nativity Play, The Sleepy Shepherd in front of an audience of mums, dads, grans, grandpa's, aunties, uncles, brothers and sisters.
The children did a great job and looked really cute in their costumes. The staff are all very proud of them.
And to finish the performance off, the children sang We wish you a Merry Christmas with Mrs Bardell playing the guitar.
We would like to thank everyone for coming along today, a super time was had by all and we raised £50 in donations for nursery funds.
Today we talked about our trip to the Tron Theatre to see their Christmas panto called "Remember December".
The panto was about a little girl called Flora who is very very forgetful. But it doesn’t bother her or make her fretful. She forgets to brush her teeth just before bed, to tidy her toys or to remember anything her mum and dad said! She ties knots in her ribbons and in pieces of string, but it doesn’t really help her remember a thing. Flora looks in her pocket and what does she find? Her letter to Santa all sealed and signed. She’s forgotten to post it. She didn’t remember! What will happen on the 25th of December? We really enjoyed it - it was great fun!
Cassidy and Isla helped put out the plates and cups for snack and washed up when everyone was finished. Thank you Cassidy and Isla!
We had apple, cucumber and carrot for our snack.
We put the finishing touches to the christmas presents we have made and had a last practice of our nativity play. Doors open tomorrow at 11.10am and the play starts at 11.20am. See you all tomorrow!
Jason told the boys and girls that he went out last night to a restaurant for Christmas dinner with his family and he had custard for dessert. Sounds yummy Jason! Jayden is going to visit his grandad after nursery.
We made super Christmas gifts for our dad's.
We made a Christmas card earlier in the week, to send along with a cheque for £61.20 to the people in the Philippines and today we added our special messages.
We poured our own cereal and milk for snack today, good job everyone!
We used our sense of smell to guess different smells, such as coffee, a candle, rosemary (the herb not the manager) and toothpaste. The children had lots of fun guessing.
We listened to a lovely little story called "The First Christmas"
Remember nursery is closed tomorrow, see you all at the Tron Theatre at 10.15am
Today we heard all about Seth's visit to town to see the Stormtroopers and about how Evan's brother, Jack, put tinsel on their Grandma's tree.
We also made gift tags for our mum's Christmas present and wrote our names inside.
For snack we had crackers, cheese and cucumber and we even buttered our crackers all by ourselves!
Some of us played at being hairdressers and others made bridges and car transporters for our cars with the duplo bricks and with some of the wooden blocks. There were great engineering skills on display!
Hana's mummy came to play today and we had a visit from Paul and Christine from the Care Inspectorate. We made Paul lots of cups of tea!
At the end of our session, we sang a Christmas song while Mrs Bardell accompanied us on the guitar. We also listened to a story called "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"....
Today we listened to Cassidy and Connie. Cassidy told us about the trip to the library with Mum and her cousins Ashton and Steven to borrow some books and dvd's.
Connie is having Will and Hana home for lunch, They are going to watch Home Alone and play some games.
We got busy starting to make presents for our Dads.
We helped to make a Christmas card to send to the Philippines, along with a cheque for £61.20 that we raised at our Christmas Fayre.
We made lovely Christmas decorations with the play doh.
We had our dress rehearsal for our Nativity Play.
