Emma had brought in a lovely teddy for her show and tell today. She was very good at telling the children about her teddy and answering the questions the other children had. The children then sang the days of the week song and a few of them performed it to their friends. Mrs Friel then did the weather chart with the children.
Some of the children got very messy today in the coloured, glittered shaving foam for messy play! The Chinese food and kitchen equipment were out at the kitchen corner along with the Chinese clothes. The climbing frame was out for physical play wan was very popular. The puppets were out at the reading corner but unfortunately our puppet theatre has broken - if anyone has a spare we'd be very grateful.
Mrs Friel was making paper Chinese dragons at the creative table. The children used lots of different colours of paper and straws. Lots of fun.
Snack was toast with bananas and tangerine segments.
Due to time constraints we didn't have group time today as we set up a Chinese restaurant and the children sampled noddles and prawn crackers. Some of them loved it others were not interested.
At Get Together time the children turned into a Chinese Dragon! They had made the head out of a cardboard box with Mrs Blain earlier in the week and using a green sheet they formed the body and danced around the hall. Great fun.
