The spring garden theme didn't end there though and we had our very popular earth, plant pots, gardening gloves and trowels in the green tray, I think we definitely have some budding gardeners in our midst.
The florist shop was also very popular but I think some of the boys were confusing flowers for lightsabers - an easy mistake to make!!!
Over at the creative table Mrs Black was getting messy with some yellow paint. The children were hatching foam eggs and finger print chicks were bursting out all over the paper. Ben Gough painted his whole egg and Eilidh Dingwall had chicks and bunny rabbits bouncing around.
At Get Together Time Mrs Brown read the children "Up and Down" the last Oliver Jeffers book that we had. Through in the small hall the children drew a bar graph and voted on which of the three books had been their favourite by placing a sticker under the picture. And the winner is .... (drum roll suspense) ... "Lost and Found". The children really enjoyed this story and were brilliant at drawing their own pictures illustrating the parts of the book they liked best.
We had the dinosaurs out in the small hall and Miss Smith was very impressed by the children's knowledge of our prehistoric friends. Aaron's drawing of a dinosaur and duck was fantastic.
At snack time Mrs Winsley was serving up tortilla wraps with tomatoes and apples. This went down well but we did have to make sure Mrs Winsley wasn't enjoying too many tomatoes herself!!
Soon it was Reflection Time and, most importantly, Buddy Bear time. Having listened very carefully to all the children Buddy Bear decided that his best chance of a teddy bear's picnic would be a trip with Otis to a well known political party's coffee morning! Of course having eaten all that cake he would then have to go swimming - we hope you and Buddy have the best time Otis and we will hear all about it on Monday.
Have a lovely weekend everybody and we will see you all refreshed on Monday morning.
