Mrs Brown was in the creche room and was asking the children to vote for their favourite foods from each of the categories they have been learning about recently. The children put a sticker on the charts to cast their votes. Leon voted for chicken on the protein chart and said "I like chicken it's good in my tummy". There was a dairy chart too, Josh voted for milk "I like milk because I like the coldness". We will look at the results on Tuesday once all the children have voted.
Snack was wraps, cherry tomatoes and apples with a choice of milk or water.
Mrs Blain was teaching the children about 2D shapes. There was Suzy circle, Sandy square, Ollie oval, Ricky rectangle,Tommy triangle, Danny diamond/Randy rhombus, Honey hexagon and Travis trapezoid. The children could tell us how many sides each shape had, how many corners and if the lines were all the same size. They also learned about diagonal lines on some shapes.
Mrs Black was helping the children to do an Around the world floor jigsaw. Felix was very good at matching the jigsaw pieces to the flags and said he is going to Japan and America one day.
At get together time Buddy Bear listened to all the exciting things the children are doing at the weekend and chose to go home with Ros. Buddy will meet Ros' grandparents who are visiting and attend our Christmas Fayre. We can't wait to hear about Buddy's weekend and see some photos. Well done to Jessica who received a certificate for being our best sitter of the week. We practiced our nativity songs and then it was home time.
Don't forget the Christmas Fayre tomorrow at 10am where the children's work will be on sale!
