Mrs Friel and Miss Smith were outside den building with the children. Sara, Monica and Sophia used pegs and sheets and, when they were finished, they declared it "the best den EVER!!!" We didn't see them the rest of the morning because they set up camp and were busy drawing and building with wooden blocks.
Holly, Nieve and Finn were practising for the NBA - they were dribbling the basket ball up and down the path and managed two bounces in a row. Adam wanted in on the action and brought over a hula hoop for the gang to score baskets in.
Snack today was oatcakes, strawberries and melon slices - very refreshing for busy children and they munched it all up.
At Reflection Time Mrs Blain was teaching the children our new "Listening Song" - they are learning it very quickly but that's because they are using good listening! The children then sang "Higgledy Piggledy Bumblebee", they were singing loudly, softly and then clapped out the syllables in their names.
Mrs Blain read the children "Splat The Cat" and they looked at cards with different emotions, to think how Splat felt about starting school.
We hope you all have a fantastic weekend and hope Monica and Scarlett have a fabulous summer - enjoy your holiday ladies. See you on Monday all ready for more fun.
