Mrs Brown was in the mid hall and was asking the children about performing shows. Eilidh W said she does a dance show with Zara and Tasha and their families come to watch. "Theres a big stage with light and big curtains." The children were drawing pictures of the Nativity show, Jessica drew a fantastic star.
Mrs Friel was looking at the journey books with some of the children. The children were giving feedback on their work.
Snack was pita bread, carrot and cucumber sticks and a choice of milk or water. Mrs Gallagher gave stickers to some children who were sitting nice and those who tried snack. Felix was a little sad that it wasn't cereal for snack today but he tried the pita bread and got a big sticker.
Some children brought in their books as part of our Book Week celebrations. The children used their voting sticks to vote for the story they would like to hear. Zara brought in "My big shouting day", and Ruari brought in "The Gruffalo", and Eilidh W brought in "Room on the broom." Otis said "The Gruffalo and Room on the broom are written by Julia Donaldson, she's the author." Ros then said "And Axel Sheffler is the illustrator." The Gruffalo received the most votes and we were very lucky as Mack's mum Jane read the story to us.
Mrs Black was helping the children make parachutes. The children had to stand on a chair to drop them from a high height. The children decorated their parachutes and used a peg to hold the string together.
At Goodbye time Felix got a good sitting award for doing fab sitting all week. Well done Felix! Buddy Bear listened to all the exciting things the children are doing over the weekend and decided to go home with Zara for the weekend so he can visit her dance class and go swimming. The children then played Sandy children before home time. Thanks to Jane for helping today.
Have a great weekend!
