Mrs Blain was teaching the children about 3D shapes to challenge the children. Today they focused on a cylinder and a cube and were using building blocks to look at these shape properties.
Snack was pita bread, carrot, cucumber and humous with a choice of milk or water, lots of children got a sticker for trying the humous.
Mrs Brown was teaching the children about healthy eating. The children can identify fruit and vegetables which give us a healthy heart, carbohydrates which give us energy, dairy foods that give us strong teeth and bones, protein which helps us grow big and strong and sugary foods which are for a treat. Otis said he is going to eat kidney beans because he is a kid. The children were very good at remembering the benefits of these foods.
At get together time the children were learning how to be a successful learner. Otis said this is "when you do a good job", and Naima said she was successful at making a snowflake and Eilidh D said she was successful at doing choose,play and put away.
Buddy bear listened to all the exciting activities all the children are doing over the weekend and decided to go home with Finlay. Finlay said he is going to a Halloween party and he is dressing up as superman and it's his birthday on Sunday so Buddy is going to join in with the celebrations.
