Mrs Blain and Mrs Black were in the mid-hall. The tolo, magnetic blocks, giant floor puzzles, hairdressing role play, dolls house and cranberry play dough. At the creative table Mrs Blain was making cloud pictures by folding paper with white paint in it. Daniel said his cloud picture looked like a kettle, Evan said his was like an elephant.
Mrs Winsley and Ms Rodger were in the crèche room. The instruments were out and the children made some great songs. We think Kai, Kerr and Evan will be the next boy band. The laptop was out which the children played a directional game on. The children were drawing pictures of weather and treasure maps. There were peg boards with picture cards to copy the pattern. Hugh sat for a long time making his fish exactly as the pattern showed.
At welcome time today we read the story Spilt milk which was about cloud shapes. Mrs Blain chatted to the children about clouds and the shapes you can see in them.
Today we were split between the two rooms.
Snack was baguette slices with cheese spread along with milk and water to drink.
For physical time the children had a game of cloud races. In teams of four they had to blow a 'cloud' (cotton wool) across the floor with a straw. They had a super time.
At Get Together time Mrs Blain read the story Drippy the Rain Drop which the children enjoyed, and they discussed the water cycle and were very good at remembering the 'big' words evaporation, condensation and precipitation.
At Goodbye time we sang happy birthday to Erica and Buddy Bear chose to go home with Hugh for the weekend. Have a great weekend everyone.
