In the floorbook we were learning about the healthy eating plate with Mrs Brown. Different foods were sorted into different colours of the plate. The green part of the plate is full of fruit and veg and gives us a HEALTHY HEART, the yellow part of the plate is carbohydrates and gives us ENERGY, the pink part of the plate is protein foods and helps us GROW BIG AND STRONG and the blue part of the plate is dairy and gives us STRONG TEETH AND BONES. The children then painted their own healthy plates.
Snack was bagels with cheese triangles, cucumber and bananas with a choice of milk or water.
Mrs Friel and Mrs Blain were asking some children to choose their own targets, some children want to learn to count, draw and make friends.
At Reflection time Leo told us all about his adventures with Buddy Bear. Leo took Buddy to the cinema to see Pete's Dragon and they watched the football. They also ate pizza and Buddy slept in Leo's bed. Buddy wanted to brush his teeth lots of times and he enjoyed meeting all Leo's family. We then played a healthy food physical game. There were hula hoops that matched the colours of the healthy food plate and the children would run around and listen for clues and then had to run to the correct area of the plate.
Tomorrow is Jasmine's turn for show and tell.
