Hello folks Monday again....
Today in nursery we had lots of fun stuff to play with. Babies in the house corner, kaleidoscopes, magnifying glasses and 3D books in the investigation area, castle and knights, cars and garage, table top games and puzzles, wooden blocks, jelly letters on the writing mats and much, much more. Ros had recently requested that she would like to help clean the fruit for snack.....so today in the water tray the children got to work washing the fruit......they were all a super help! After all the fruit was clean Melody and Leo squished a little of the fruit that was left over....some lemons, oranges, strawberries. The playroom smelled beautiful!
Today we were learning all about Fruit & Vegetables these are the foods we eat to give us a healthy heart. We watched a Youtube video all about fruit and veg and then the children and Mrs Brown went to work in the floor book. They drew some fantastic pictures and talked about all the good vitamins in fruit and veg.
In our sensory tray we had soil with whole parsnips and carrots. The children enjoyed pretending to dig up the vegetables. Tomorrow we will be looking at what grows below the ground and above the ground.
On offer at the snack bar today was rice cakes with butter or cheese, carrot sticks and grapes with a choice of milk or water to drink. Leo was excellent at spreading his cheese with the knife all by himself.
At Get Together Time we listened to Ros telling us all about what she and Buddy Bear got up to over the weekend. They went to the Burrell Collection and Ros' uncle Alistair's birthday meal. Buddy Bear had a fab weekend with Ros and he told Mrs Blain his favourite part of the weekend was meeting 'Pink Ted' and all Ros' family!
Tomorrow as you know is Tuesday and that must mean one thing.....Show & Tell. This week it's Jack's turn, I can't wait to see what he brings in!
