Snack was bagels with cream cheese, cucumber and banana with a choice of milk or water.
Miss Smith was helping the children make letter collage pictures. The boys and girls used newspaper to glue down on the lines of the first letter of their names. Olivia enjoyed it so much she made 2.
At get together time the children learned about how Mercury travels round the sun. We used the parachute as the Sun and used a hula hoop for Mercury. Ros, Anna and Robbie took turns to stand inside the hula hoop and walk around the parachute (Sun). As they walked round the children counted to 88 as it takes 88 days to circle the Sun once. Robbie said "The hula hoop was Mercury, I was holding it. We had to count to 88."
We then sat down to hear all about Buddy Bear's sleepover with Euan. Euan told us Buddy slept in his bed, visited Euan's gran and went to soft play. Buddy enjoyed eating pizza for dinner and watched Euan ride his balance bike. Buddy had lots of fun at Euan's house and enjoyed meeting his family and playing with his toys.
We then looked at a photo, Ros identified that it was Robert Burns. To celebrate Robert Burns' birthday this week we took part in a ceilidh. The boys and girls (and the teachers) had so much fun dancing to the bagpipes. Tomorrow we will continue to celebrate Burns' day.
Tomorrow is Stellan's turn for show and tell.
