When the children arrived at nursery they brushed their teeth to make their smiles nice and sparkly and then some children used toothpaste again but this time they mixed it with cornflour to make playdough. It was very messy but so much fun and the children liked squeezing all the toothpaste out the tube and it smelled lovely.
Snack was yummy rice cakes with cheddar cheese, carrots and nectarines and a choice of milk or water.
At get together time we sang the days of the week song and Ruari told us it was Monday. Mrs Brown then read a story called 'We belong together', which was about all different families and focused on adoption to tie in with Mrs Brown stopping this week for her adoption leave. This lead to a big discussion about our families and who lives in their house.
At physical time we played the Big Brown Bear although we changed the colours. Euan was a purple bear, Olivia was a white bear and Leo was a green bear. The children decided if we had to sing fast, slow, quietly or loud.
Some children brought in their favourite book as we are celebrating world book day on Thursday. The boys and girls can bring in their favourite books all week and we will try to get through as many as we can.
Tomorrow is Matthew R's turn for show and tell.
Don't forget to buy your tickets for the race night on Friday night. If you can't make it you can still buy a horse and win a prize.
