At welcome time the children sang the days of the week song and Mrs Blain explained how it's important to know the order of the days. They then did the weather song and chatted about the weather and completed the weather chart. Kerr then told his friends what he and Buddy Bear got upto at the weekend - watching football, going to a restaurant, lots of fun.
On the floor we had the climbing frame out, the painting easel, table top puzzles, the castle and knights, books and puppets, the kitchen and dress up. Lots for the children to be active with.
Mrs Brown was working on the floor book with the children exploring clouds. This included an experiment called a rain cloud in a jar. Jamie recorded the experiment by taking photos with the Hudl.
Snack was vanilla yoghurt with grapes and pears along with milk or water to drink
At Get together time Mrs Brown went over the fantastic work the children had done in the floorbook then did the experiment again to ensure all children had a chance to watch it. At Goodbye time the story 'Soggy Saturday' was read and then the children used musical instruments to coincide with the weather patterns Mrs Brown was stating as she told a story of Stonelaw Preschool children going to the park.
