Most children made pizzas today, they helped to measure all the ingredients using digital scales. We all took turns to mix it up and then we added yeast, Ros said this helps it to expand. We kneaded it for a while and then covered it up and left it rise. While we were waiting we chopped up some mushrooms, peppers and grated some cheese. The children were then very creative at decorating their pizzas with their chosen ingredients, they all looked fab and the children had lots of fun. We hope they are sharing their pizzas after they come out the oven, feel free to email pictures of the boys and girls eating their pizzas for the food floorbook.
Snack was rice cakes, grapes, carrot sticks and cheese with a choice of milk or water.
After learning about packaging and recycling last week we decided to do some junk modelling. The children made some very interesting creations and so did some of the parents too. Once they are all dry the children can paint them.
The children showed their families how good they are at tidying up and then we sat down in the book corner for Get Together Time. Anna showed all her friends the photos of Buddy Bear when he stayed at her house for the weekend. Buddy slept in Anna's bed and she even remembered to brush Buddy's teeth. Buddy enjoyed meeting Effie the dog too and met Anna's Scooby Doo teddy. The children then voted for which physical activity they would like to do. The choices were Big Brown Bear or dance to Sticky Kids, the winner was..............................Big Brown Bear. The children were very fast at running and all the parents cheered them on.
At Reflection Time Elijah told us he enjoyed making his pizza and dressing up as a police officer. The children all agreed they enjoyed showing their families their journey books and all the toys at nursery.
Tomorrow is Melody's turn for Show and Tell.
