The boys and girls were using their looking eyes on the walk to and from the park. Jack could see a rectangular sign and Melody recognised a six-sided hexagon sign. Oscar said that it was autumn when the leaves on the trees fell down and then Olivia giggled when a yellow leaf hit Mrs Black on the nose.
After we returned to the nursery the children were all hungry and ready for snack time. Pitta bread with houmous and cherry tomatoes all washed down with either milk or water and the children wolfed it all down.
There was just time left for a very rousing chorus of "Happy Birthday" to Elijah and we all hope he has a fantastic birthday today. Then the children helped Mrs Black read "Noisy Farm" a book all about farmyard animals. The children were very good at doing the animal noises and it was lots of fun.
A big thank you to Katie for lending us her mum and her gran today. They were very well behaved at the park and are welcome back to help anytime. See you all tomorrow and remember that you are very welcome to stay and play.
