We continued with our days of the week, did our weather chart and sang Tommy thumb song at welcome time this morning. We also chatted about Robert Burns and sang a Scottish song.
In the mid-hall we had water with bubbles and bubble wrap for sensory messy play, we had the hairdressers play stuff out, tolo, wooden track and cars out. Mrs Blain was making Robert Burns Cards at the creative table.
In the crèche room Mrs Brown was continuing her rhyming activities with the rhyming bag. There were rhyming jigsaws out which the children were really good at. They are definitely getting a good understanding of rhyming now.
At Get Together time the children were performing their poems. They were all super at reciting their choice of poem. Kerr and Emma were outstanding. They then had a piece of shortbread followed by the story 'Rabbie's Rhymes - Robert Burns for wee folk'.
We then had a wee 'jig' (Mrs Blain's words) until Goodbye time!
The children have had their home link diaries sent home this weekend so if you get a minute please spend some time completing this with your child.
