Today in the weather floor book the children continued to learn about wind. Mrs Friel was teaching the children about wind turbines and they convert wind into electricity. Erica drew a picture of a wind turbine in the floor book.
Snack today was wraps with chicken and cherry tomatoes with a choice of milk or water. Kerr was our snack helper and he set up the snack table and washed all the dishes, he was so good he received a big sticker for all his hard work.
Mrs Brown was at the science table today with a box of objects for the children to test to see which objects were magnetic. The children then sorted the magnetic materials from the non magnetic materials. The children were very good at this and could name some materials such as metal, wood, plastic and rubber.
At physical time the children played a wind catcher game. Mrs Friel was the wind turbine and she tried to catch the children as they ran past to turn them into wind turbines too. The boys and girls were very fast and also swinging their arms round to make the circle movement of the wind turbines.
At together time the children listened to a story called "one windy Wednesday", and then practised all the songs and actions for the graduation.
