The children were working very hard in the floorbook with Mrs Friel talking about our senses. Otis said that his taste buds let him taste food he likes sweet things best. Eilidh W said that she can see everything with her eyes. Ruari said that he can smell things with his nose. Ben A said he likes to listen to Rock and Roll with his ears. Mack said he uses his fingers to hold and feel newspapers.
Mrs Black made a lovely snack of toast and butter with strawberries and banana. The children are very good at recognising the number of snack to put onto their plates.
Mrs Brown played a number game with the children, they coloured the paper in to reveal a hidden number. The boys and girls were very good at recognising the numbers and enjoyed playing the game to.
At Get together time we sang the good morning song and the days of the week song. We then chatted about what day it was; yesterday, today and what day it will be tomorrow. We voted to decide what game we would play for physical time, the children's ideas were;Big Brown Bear, Duck Duck Goose, Rainbow Catcher and I sent a letter to my love. The most votes went to Rainbow Catcher but we changed it from a colour game to a number games as the children are learning about numbers this week.
We all sang Happy Birthday to Felix. He then told us that he got a Storm Trooper outfit from his mum and dad and that he is having a party at the weekend.
