Today at welcome time we sang our welcome song and then talked about what we had for our breakfast. Rice krispies and cheerios were the most popular.
Mrs Brown worked on our new literacy floorbook with the children to find out what they know about books. Jessica said that the author writes the words, Otis said he has a flap book at home and when he lifts the flap he can see a picture. Ben G said some books have a CD, its ok if you lose the CD, you can still read the book without it.
The children added the names of their extended family to their trees that they had painted yesterday. The children were very good at telling Mrs Friel who was in their extended family and some of the children wanted to write the names themselves. The family trees are going into the children's journey books.
Snack today was toast with banana, nectarine and pears with either milk or water to drink.
The story today was called 'It's the Bear' by Jez Alborough read by Mrs Friel.
For physical time we listened and danced to sticky kids CD and then played musical bumps and statues to our Lazy Town CD.
It was then time to put our shoes and jackets on to go home.
