At welcome time today Mrs Friel was testing the children to see how much French they could remember. They did really well. They remembered yes, no, hello and thank you. Erica then did her Show and Tell to the children. She brought in her camera she got for Christmas and an alphabet book. The children were posing for pictures.
The water tray was out for messy play. The large lego bricks were out for physical play. The children were having fun building houses and different imaginative people.
Mrs Brown was doing pictures with the children about What makes you happy? There were some great pictures and comments. Kai said 'Smiling makes me happy and playing with Kerr' Daniel said 'I make people laugh with funny jokes' Evan said 'I'm happy when Faith shares her toys and when I'm playing with Sam'.
Snack was toast and banana with a choice of milk or water.
At group time the children played a memory game using objects that police may use. The children were very good at remembering which item was removed. For physical time the children did the action song 'The Farmer wants a wife'.
Mrs Friel was working on the floorbook with the children talking about what equipment a police officer uses. Most of the children could tell Mrs Friel about handcuffs and radio. Hugh told her about a baton.
At goodbye time the children spoke about what they enjoyed at nursery today. Katee said she liked the Farmer song.
