Since there has been no rain yet to fill up our rain catchers we made it rain in the water tray using cups with holes in the bottom and catching the raindrops in a rain catcher. Let's hope it rains during the night.
Miss Wallace was making recycling pictures with the boys and girls and Mrs Brown finished the poems for the poetry competition.
Snack was pitta bread, carrot and cucumber sticks and houmous.
At physical time the boys and girls were jumping over puddles, there was a large, medium and small puddle. As the children were jumping we were singing the jumping bean song.
Mrs Blain read a story called "Homer the library cat", and talked about our library visit next week.
We had a visit from some firefighters who spoke to us about smoke alarms and then invited the children out to see the fire engine. The boys and girls got to use the hose, sit inside the fire engine, try on helmets and listen to the siren. The children thoroughly enjoyed this today and had been very excited all morning.
