We had lots of experiences to help us build our numeracy and mathematic skills throughout the play room....number ducks and stones in the water, magnetic number and colour boards, sand timers, shape clocks and books, number table top games and much more.
At group time the children were building their counting skills playing Spotty Dog with Mrs Blain, being creative with the Magnetix with Miss Stephen, playing lotto with Miss Smith and Mrs Black read a story called How Does a Dinosaur Say Goodnight!
Snack today was oatcakes with butter, melon and strawberries with a choice of milk or water to drink.
For physical time the children had great fun playing with the parachute. They listened well to instruction and discovered lots of ways to move under the parachute!
Miss Smith and the children continued working in the floor book. Today they were creating their own line patterns using black card and coloured chalk.....we had zig zag lines, straight and diagonal, wavy and curved and lots of crosses!
At Reflection Time we sang our days of the week song and chatted about what we learnt today. The majority of the children now know a new word....diagonal!
See you all tomorrow for some more fun and learning!
