Mrs Black was having fun playing in the water tray with the children. They were using fishing nets to catch numbers.
Snack was nectarine, melon, oatcakes with butter with a choice of milk or water to drink.
Mrs Blain was working with the children in their floor book. Today we were drawing pictures and chatting about things we can hear at home, in nursery and outside.
Aaron told us at home in his kitchen he can hear his Mummy when she bangs her frying pan on her cooker! Eilidh D can hear the birds in the morning tweet, tweet, tweeting and they always wake her up. Louis gave us a fantastic answer, he told us when he is outside he can hear traffic on the road and the green man beeping!
Mrs Friel was playing number table tops game with the children and Mrs Brown was helping the boys and girls play Number Jacks on our new Kindle. I think this is the new favourite game at nursery.
At Get Together Time we talked about our ears and played a listening game "Nursery Rhyme Soundtracks". The children had to use their listening ears to identify the nursery rhyme clues and then match them up with the pictures on the board.
Then we listened to Olivia as it was her turn for
Show & Tell. She brought in a Sofia story book and lots of figures from Sofia. Olivia told us all their names and whether they were queens, princesses, kings or princes. She even had Jane the villager with her! Olivia also told us that she has a castle and a floating palace at home where Sofia and all her family live.
Just before it was time to go home we reflected on our morning. Ben A told us he felt good and happy today because his friend Louis played with him. Eliza told us she learned to stop wobbling on the balancing beams "you just have to stick your arms out" she said.
