Some of the children were working on the big floor book with Mrs Blain, they were discussing the role of police dogs and why they are so important to help the police. Most children said that dogs can run fast and sniff out baddies.
At physical time today the children were dancing then when the music stopped they listened to descriptions of shapes and would have to run to that shape. Phoebe could tell us that an octagon has 8 sides. These were the shapes from our shape family display in the corridor.
At together time we had to use our senses just like police dogs do, we closed our eyes and had to guess the smell, Katee successfully guessed vinegar and Anton correctly guessed onion.
Our story today was "Who`s making that smell?" which tied in with our floorbook activities.
