Miss Smith had a game for the children to play; healthy or unhealthy. There were lots of pictures of food and they had velcro on them and the children had to stick the pictures in the correct place.
Snack was wholemeal toast with butter which the children were spreading themselves, strawberries and bananas with a choice of milk or water.
Mrs Black was reading stories in the book corner and then reciting the main parts of the story using finger puppets and picture magnets.
At Get Together Time the children voted for their favourite carbohydrate food which gives us energy. The choices were shreddies, porridge, weetabix, bread, bagels, toast, pasta, rice and potatoes. Weetabix was voted the most popular and rice was the least popular with just 1 vote.
Today was Jack's turn for Show and Tell. Jack brought in 2 T-Rex dinosaurs, 1 of them was Rex from Toy Story and he talked whenever Jack pressed the button. Jack said Santa got him one and his Gran got him the other one. Jack demonstrated how to make the other T-Rex roar and his eyes lit up too. This was a super show and tell and Jack answered all the questions really well. Well Done Jack!
We played a teamwork game at physical time. Mrs Blain split the children into 3 groups and the all stood in rows. When they heard the whistle they had to pass the parsnip under their legs until it reached the end. The children were very fast and each team won a round.
The children then wanted to do a talent show, there was lots of break dancing and then we all had a dance to Lazy town and showed off our fantastic dance moves.
