Mrs Blain was working in the floor book with the children. They were finding out how strong their lungs were. First, they made bubble cups with j cloths, elastic bands, straws and polystyrene cups, then they dipped them in paint and fairy liquid and blew through the straw as hard as they could.
The children are beginning to show a good understanding of how their lungs work. Aaron told us he had to take a huge breath of air to fill his lungs and then he had to blow the air back out his mouth into the straw. Eilidh W told us she took a big breath and it went down her windpipe into her lungs and Eilidh D told Mrs Blain she had to inhale and exhale......great words Eilidh D!
Look at the beautiful bubble paintings we made!
