Robbie and Matthew R built a fabulous wall using the Kapla wood and Stellan built a great house with walls and a roof. There was also some dinosaurs wandering about the snack table looking for scraps of food. Scarlett, Monica and Elias were working on jigsaws, puzzling over them and piecing them together - it was great to see them working together as a team.
It was far too nice to stay in for too long and soon we were off to the BMX park. Katie was a brilliant helper with some of the younger children, making sure they were feeling confident with the big slopes. The children had a great time running off lots of energy and they were very hungry when they got back. The snack of pitta bread, tomatoes, apples and houmous didn't last long and hungry people were looking for seconds!! During snack we talked about our favourite nativity songs - Euan told us he likes "Counting for Caesar" and everybody started to sing it.
At Reflection Time we talked about nursery rhymes and rhyming objects - Sara brought in a cat with a hat, Matthew M brought a peg and an egg and Euan brought a pair of socks in a box! Keep looking for lots of rhyming things because we are having lots of fun with this.
On a begging note - we are still looking for volunteers to help us with the Christmas Fayre. It is lots of fun helping out and a very rewarding feeling at the end of the day (plus lots of cakes and sweeties!!!).
We will see you all tomorrow for more fun and learning.
