We were busy at nursery today with a tiger visiting for tea in the water tray, lots of funnels and pouring jugs at the sand table and Duplo trains were making their way around the nursery floor, stopping at many different stations.
Katie and Jasmine were taking orders at the Stonelaw Cafe and they were much more efficient with their reservations using the new keyboard to log customers.
Mrs Brown and Miss Smith were having lots of muddy fun in the garden. Cody, Ruari, Leon and Elijah found a scary snake and it was chasing everybody. Leo and Ros were using the water to make muddy puddles for the diggers to dig through - very messy but great fun!
Mrs Black was making a bit of a mess too with sand and Jack and Anna were helping. We were finding out how the wind moves the sand on Mars. Jack was brilliant at moving all different objects by blowing through a straw. The tissue paper and pom poms went for miles but the butter beans and pasta weren't far behind. Anna was making a sandstorm and there were brilliant patterns forming.
Mrs Friel had no trouble inviting the children over to her snack bar with lots of tasty options on offer. The children had pitta bread, houmous, cherry tomatoes and apples to choose from and there was very little left over for seconds!
Holly, Ros and Olivia all brought books in from home today and we had a wee look at Holly's nursery rhyme book. We all joined in with Holly's favourite - "Humpty Dumpty". Then Mrs Black read "Aliens In Underpants Save The World" and we all picked our favourite pants - we soon found out that the boys didn't like the pink frilly bloomers!!!
We will see you all tomorrow and we can't wait to see all the children dressed up for World Book Day.
