Mrs Friel knew that the children would rush over to the snack table today because it was tasty cereal - the children wolfed it down and were looking for seconds!
There was outdoor learning going on too, with plenty of minibeasts being discovered in the garden. Edward was watching how a slug moves and could see it sticking out its feelers to check what was in front of it. Anna found a wiggly worm that we planted alongside the potatoes Monica, Sara and Euan were planting in a bag. Stellan found a cocoon and could tell us that a caterpillar was living in there and would change into a butterfly. Adam was more in a mathematical frame of mind and was measuring how much he had grown since his last visit to the garden. Katie and Oscar built a campfire to keep us all warm and Finn and Flynn were making catapults to send playmobile figures flying high in the sky!
At Reflection Time Mrs Black read the children a poem about Christopher Robin playing the game "Don't step on the lines" (sorry if this slows down your walk from nursery!) and the bears waiting to pounce on any sillies that tread on the lines. There was just enough time to sing a couple of counting songs with aliens and frogs before it was home time.
We will see you all tomorrow for more fun and learning.
