Mrs Friel dished up some lovely food of her own - pitta bread, houmous, cherry tomatoes and apples, washed down with either milk or water (just as well as Elias told us he was starving!).
A few brave souls decided to venture to the garden and make snow with Miss Stephen and Mrs Black. In the absence of real snow we decided to use toothpaste and cornflour (apologies for the state of clothes, gloves, hair, etc) and our polar bears felt that they were in the Arctic. Reuben and Monica squished the toothpaste together with the flour and we watched as the mixture turned to minty paste. We also found that if we clapped our hands together it looked like snow flakes falling down. Oscar and Stellan were our maintenance men, using the power tools to fix the castle and anything else that needed mended. Edward climbed all the way to the top of the hill and found the fastest (and most fun) way to get back down was to roll himself on the ground!
At Reflection Time Monica and Adam sang "Days of the Week" perfectly for all their friends. Matthew R gave a brilliant rendition of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and Scarlett sang "Incy Wincy Spider" beautifully. Matthew M was the last to perform and he chose to sing "The Grand Old Duke of York" then his mum joined in and we all danced and did the actions - it was lots of fun!!!
We will see you all tomorrow for more fun and learning and hopefully you will be able to join us for "Stay and Play".
