Through in the mid hall the children demonstrated their fantastic number counting skills playing a "Count to Ten" game with Mrs Friel. The water in our tray had a variety of sea life such as octopodes (the plural for octopus I'm reliably informed by Grammarist.com), sharks, crabs, dolphins and stones. The water must have been very cold though as it had turned blue. Goodness knows what happened to the sand - it was purple! It had some lovely shells that Ben Archibald and Louis enjoyed burying and digging with. Otis made a brilliant pattern with the multi-coloured elephants, joining their tails and trunks and marching them on parade. Aaron showed us how quickly he could construct the yellow digger jigsaw, he was very speedy. Ros had a beautiful new hairdo exclusively designed by the lovely ladies Eilidh Walsh, Zara and Eliza working in our hair salon today. The creative table found Eilidh Dingwall and Olivia making some great pictures to take home. In between finding the time to play with the children and help them brush their teeth, Mrs Gallagher provided a very popular snack today and the choice was Rice Krispies or Shreddies.
Through in the small hall Mrs Brown and Mrs Black watched in wonder as the children demonstrated how good they had become at den building. Ben Gough, Cody and Josh worked very hard at building towers from giant Lego blocks to support the tarpaulin cover. Naima, Jessica and Melody designed some beautiful signs for outside the den. Felix and Finlay built the defence walls around with Leo, Leon and Ruari acting as guards inside.
See you all tomorrow for more fun activities!
