We had the Duplo train chugging around the nursery floor, through chairs and under tables, it certainly had some complicated routes to take. Cody, Adam and Jack were so excited to see the multi-coloured rice out. They were taking turns to measure into jugs and pouring it into containers. Ros and Anna were making cups of tea in the water tray, while Katie, Oscar and Holly were making tasty cakes in the kitchen to go along with the tea!
Mrs Black was getting some help from Ruari, Logan and Jasmine differentiating day from night. The children were making beautiful sunrise to sunset pictures in the floor book. Jasmine told us "if you don't go to sleep, you will be very tired for school or nursery" and Logan said "when you sleep you get good dreams" so hopefully they will be keen to go to bed early tonight!
Mrs Brown and Miss Smith arranged a trip to the library and Matthew M was eager to join his new friends on this adventure. The children were answering the librarians questions about our space topic and they returned all the space books we had borrowed.
Mrs Friel was serving up tasty cereal for snack - it is so popular we have to watch out for second helpings at times!
At Reflection Time Mrs Black read the children a story called "My Little Star" about a little fox and his daddy. Little fox wants to know how big the sky is and daddy is full of good answers for some tricky questions. Melody showed us the sign for fox and Robbie showed us the sign for monkey and we practiced these - although we never found any monkeys in the story.
We will see you all tomorrow for more fun and learning.
