In the mid hall all our usual favourites were out for the children to play with. Leon, Ruari and Cody made the snack table into a garage for all the cars and had them lined up ready to race round the room. The story corner proved very popular with lots of fun books, puppets and Miss Smith telling shark. Olivia and Katie liked the pink, sparkly play dough and were very happy baking tasty treats for the teachers. Anna loved splashing in the water tray, using the measuring jugs and pourers to see how much water she could collect.
Mrs Friel prepared a tasty snack today, the children were treated to pitta bread, houmous and apples and they washed it all down with milk or water, playing can be thirsty work.
Through in the small hall there was dinosaurs, Lego and at the writing table there was crayons, pencils, pens, notepads and plenty of paper for our budding writers. Mrs Black was showing the children family photographs and asking them to draw pictures of the special people in their lives. These pictures will go into the children's journey books and it would be brilliant if they could bring in their own photos to go in as they love looking through their books.
At Reflection Time the children told Mrs Black all the different areas they enjoyed playing in today. This helps us to make sure the children are enjoying their learning experiences at nursery and keeps the children engaged. Then Olivia opened up her baker's shop and we had five current buns and five customers.
We will see you all tomorrow for more fun and learning.
