Soon it was time to head to the garden and, although the sun was shining, we certainly had to wrap up warmly. Mrs Brown was looking for some superheroes to help her re-unite the bumblebee bee-bots. Cody and Elijah were up to this mission! They used rope to lead the bee-bots, cardboard and tarpaulin to give them a smooth surface to travel on and lots of different sized logs to stop all the material from flying away in the windy weather.
Mrs Friel was watching that none of the children came sliding down on the muddy slope. Anna reached all the way to the top and enjoyed waving to Ros at the bottom.
Mrs Black, Sophia and Olivia were finding out about the weather on Mercury. Did you know that Mercury has two sunrises and sunsets and although it can be very, very cold (almost as cold as East Kilbride) there is no snow and only a tiny bit of polar ice on the planet? Everyday is a school day here at Stonelaw!!
Soon we were back in munching on tasty cereal for snack but it maybe should have porridge to tie in with Burn's Day.
There was just enough time at the end of the day for the children to perform their beautiful Scots poetry and we were so proud of all the children, especially Leo remembering all his lines. The certificates were well earned boys and girls!!
We will see you all tomorrow for more fun and learning.
