Snack today was houmous, wholemeal thins, cherry tomatoes and apple slices with milk or water to drink.
The children were using the house corner as a supermarket and used empty boxes of cereal, pasta, eggs, empty water, milk and orange juice bottles as well as our pretend foods including, fish, red meat, fruit and vegetables. The children used the till and bags for life to carry their shopping around. Some of the boys and girls were able to put the different foods into their food catagories of protein, fruit and veg, carbohydrates and dairy.
In the garden some of the boys and girls were helping Mrs Winsley strip our willow tree as it was getting very bushy and overgrown. We also continued using our tools in the garden and practiced hammering in nails and putting the screws into wood with the screw drivers and used the blood bubble to make sure everyone was safe.
At Reflection time we talked about what we had learned at nursery today and then played a game of five currant buns. We also celebrated Monica's achievement of learing to ride her bike without using stabilizers.
