The mid hall had plenty of activities such as the water tray and a big tray of pink, strawberry scented gloop (very messy but lots of fun). The favourite though was the Lego and the children enjoyed constructing brilliant structures - mostly of the Star Wars variety.
Mrs Friel was working with the children on a top secret mission. We can't tell you too much but it did involve paper bags and paint - all will be revealed!
Mrs Gallagher served up the ever popular snack of cereal with the choice of Cheerios, Shreddies and Rice Krispies, it went down a storm.
In the small hall Mrs Brown was putting the children through their paces. Today's challenge was to identify different shapes in our everyday environment. The boys and girls found triangles, squares and rectangles, Otis even found an oval door handle. The teachers were very impressed with all our clever children.
Mrs Black was talking to the children about our new topic "Christmas". Eilidh Dingwall told us that at Christmas the clouds were full of snow and then she told us that she had remembered the clouds had water in them from our "Weather" topic last year - excellent remembering Eilidh! Mack told us that Santa comes down the chimney and he decided that he wanted to learn about the North Pole. Naima told us that we get presents at Christmas and she wanted to know what her presents were going to be but I don't think the teachers can help her with that one!!
We look forward to seeing the children in the morning and don't forget that Story Sacks are due back tomorrow.
