Mrs Friel was working in the reading corner telling the children lots of fun stories and I think she was being told some stories back. Ben Archibald had even drawn a story for our wall.
Mrs Brown was in charge of snack and there was a choice today between square or round cereal - Shreddies or Cheerios.
Through in the small hall the rockets ship / boxes were back out and the boys and girls did a brilliant job decorating them. They could then use the octagon shapes to build smaller spaceships to fly around. The boom whackers were also out and the sound resonating round the room was beautiful.
The children were telling Mrs Black all about their eyes today. Felix thought we might blink ten times a day and couldn't believe it when he found out it was 20,000 times! Eilidh Walsh knew that you needed eyelashes to keep the dust out of your eyes. We had lots of fun using the different coloured slides and making the world around us change colour. It was also very funny to use the bendy mirrors and see what happened to our faces.
At Reflection Time Mrs Black told the boys and girls a story all about a wee monkey that has a day out and learns lots of new things. The book is called "Monkey See Monkey Do" and the children were laughing at all the monkey mayhem that the cheeky chimp got caught up in.
We will see all our cheeky chimps tomorrow for some more monkey mayhem of our own!
