Mrs Black was caught red handed (along with her many helpers) painting a fantastic post box for the children to post Christmas cards to each other. Many apologies to any parents discovering red on t-shirts, jeans and many other items of clothes and a huge "sorry" to Ruari who went home with red hair!! Our post box will soon be open for business just as soon as the paint dries.
Mrs Brown and Mrs Friel decided to get muddy today out in the garden. They were playing a great game called "Higher and Lower". The children were to find a hidden object but instead of the teachers saying "Hot" or "Cold" they sang in a higher or lower pitch. The children were very good at finding the objects and listening to the teachers's singing instructions.
We were dishing up cereal for snack today and the children always enjoy their choice between Rice Krispies, Shreddies or Cheerios.
At Reflection Time Mrs Black told one of her favourite Christmas stories of all time - "How The Grinch Stole Christmas". The children must have been listening very carefully because they could tell us the rhyming words in the story and we all felt very happy that the Grinch didn't stop Christmas from coming after all. Then we sang some fun Christmas songs and Elijah played along with sleigh bells.
We will see you all tomorrow for more fun and learning.
